Dubai with Radisson Blu

When I first visited Dubai back in 2014 I instantly fell in love and felt at home, to the extent where I was even going to pack up my bags and become a resident so any chance I get to go back and visit I will take it. There is so much to do and so many places to visit that no matter how many times you go it feels like you are visiting for the first time. Honestly,  a place I will never get tired of visiting.

When visiting Dubai I usually stay with friends but we were fortunate enough to work with Radisson Blu on this trip and had the opportunity to stay in three of their Dubai hotels.

Radisson Blu, Media City

As I mentioned above we are staying in a few different Radisson Blu hotel’s while in Dubai, Media City being the first stop on our trip.

On arrival we were greeted at the hotel by very friendly staff who helped us get situated, which we couldn’t of been more grateful for after a long day of traveling. After a visit to the Chef’s house for their sushi night, we headed up to our room to catch an early night as we planned to make the most out of our short stay at our first hotel.

Even though we had such a lovely experience at the restaurant the night before we thought there was no better way to start our trip off by ordering room service. We started our morning sipping fresh orange juice while tucked up in bed looking out on our beautiful bedroom view which was looking over Media City.

We were located in the heart of Media City, being surrounded by more than 1,300 companies this hotel is the ideal stop for business travelers. With that being said you are not far from some of the main attractions in Dubai, including Jumeirah beach or the Mall of Emirates if you prefer some retail therapy so the location does cater for all.

Radisson Blu, Dubai Marina

The Marina is one of my favourite places to stay while in Dubai, with breathtaking views and with an outstanding location there is not much to dislike about staying in the Marina.

Although we had another hotel to look forward to, I couldn’t help but want to stay a little longer at our second hotel of the trip. As soon as we walked into our room we was greeted by an open plan kitchen and front room area which lead onto a balcony with a view looking over the Marina.

Our room at the hotel instantly made us feel at home, like we were staying at a friends house, which is a difficult feeling to achieve when in a different country, staying in several different hotels.

Even though we could have spent our short two days at the hotel nestled in our room we headed to the third-floor terrace to the pool. The grounds and facilities of the hotel did not disappoint, they were just as beautiful as our room and the lobby entrance.

If you prefer a lively atmosphere around the pool, the pool terrace at the Marina hotel would not be for you as it does not serve food or drink (other than fresh juice), which is ideal for those down days. If you do prefer having lunch and a cocktail round the pool then you are in the perfect location to some of the well known beaches. I would highly recommend visiting Marina Beach which is walking distance from the hotel or a short taxi journey away.

Room Facilities

  • Coffee and tea provisions

Radisson Blu,Deira Creek

Our last hotel of the trip was in Deira Creek, a part of Dubai I had never experienced. I was excited to see a different side to Dubai but I was also a little hesitant. The hotel lies within Old Dubai which is a little bit further out compared to the Marina and Media City. It’s an area known well for their traditionals souks such as their spice markets and Jewellery shops.

On arrival I was pleasantly surprised, even though the hotel was old and didn’t have the level of glitz and glamour as most of the places we have stayed or visited while in Dubai, it had so much charm and character. Out of the three Radisson Blu hotels we stayed at while in Dubai Deira Creek defiantly had the most to offer. With up to 12 different restaurants to choose from there is no need to even leave your hotel to experience the different types of cuisines in Dubai. There is something for everyone, from Japanese, Chinese, Persian cuisine to fresh seafood and confections.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to visit the majority of the restaurants in the hotel due to our short stay but we were kindly invited to dinner at Aseelah, their traditional Emirati restaurant. We headed to the restaurant a little earlier as we were told by the hotel staff it had a beautiful outside terrace area which we thought would be perfect for a pre dinner drink. The terrace overlooked the hotel pool as well as the waters of Deira Creek, it was the perfect dinner setting for our last night in dubai. The menu itself was a variety of meat, fish and rice dishes. To start we shared a selection of traditional breads, in all honesty I would of been happy enough to just have the bread as a main meal but after eyeing up the main menu I opted for the Lamb kebab which was served on a flatbread with a spicy tomato sauce, all dishes are made with local ingredients which you could taste in the quality of the food. I left the restaurant that evening feeling full and very content. The staff were extremely welcoming and the service was faultless, probably the best I experienced while being in Dubai.

Overall I was extremely impressed with my first stay with Radisson Blu, from the service, staff and beautiful facilities.

Our stay was faultless from start to finish, so faultless that we decided to extend our holiday for an extra three days. If you’re ever looking to visit Dubai but struggle on where to stay I would highly recommend staying at a Radisson Blu hotel. You are guaranteed to have a pleasant stay with friendly and helpful staff who will be happy to go above and beyond should  you need their help.

You can visit Radisson Blu here for more information.

If you are thinking about visiting Dubai soon and you have any questions please feel free to drop me an email.

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea
shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
