After a short 2-hour flight from London we arrived in beautiful Ibiza to clear blue skies and beaming sunshine.
Our journey from the airport to the hotel was a 40-minute drive, taking a short detour through old Ibiza town. Our hotel was tucked away in La Torre, which is located in the countryside of San Antonio. A private part of Ibiza Island, Cap Negret.
La Torre is made up of 17 equally stunning rooms which are all decorated in Mediterranean decor, complete with a balcony which looked out over panoramic views of the sea and nearby cliffs. Getting out of bed in the mornings were instantly made a lot easier knowing we were going to be greeted by that view.
The hotel is known for their famous sunsets and wonderful scenery and we were definitely not left disappointed. Unfortunately we didn’t get to experience the sunset like we had hoped but to make up for it we got to enjoy lunch on the terrace, overlooking the view, which was honestly breathtaking. Everything from the food and wine, to the setting and the service was perfect.
Our first point of call was to go sightseeing, so we spent our first day very wisely and explored the grounds of the hotel, which included getting lost within the cliffs, which surround La Torre. It is surprising how easy it is to get lost in the moment when you are spoilt with endless sea views and sunshine. No amount of photos would do the view justice.
The views and settings were not the only things to make the whole experience pleasant. The staff at the hotel was so welcoming and polite, they instantly made us feel at home and they always ensured they were on hand to help with anything we needed when asked.
Our stay at La Torre may have been short but it was without a doubt the dream stay for a weekend break away from the hectic streets of London.
If you are after lively crowds, nightclubs and the party scene of Ibiza, this hotel isn’t for you. However, if you are after the ideal spot for a relaxing and magical weekend getaway with endless stunning surroundings, La Torre offers everything you need.
